Something new is coming to Fairmount this fall.

Fuel the Firebirds is our new annual parents' night out — one evening a year when the grown-ups of our school community put the lunchboxes down, get out of the house, and have a genuinely good time together. Every dollar raised goes straight back to our students, our teachers, and our classrooms.

What happened to Firebirds on the Fairway?

For years, Firebirds on the Fairway brought our community together on the golf course, and we're grateful to everyone who played, sponsored, and volunteered to make it happen.

But we heard from many of you that a golf tournament wasn't something everyone could say yes to — the time away, or simply not being a golfer. A fundraiser only works if people can actually come. So we listened, and we're trying something different.

Fuel the Firebirds is built to be easier to join: an evening event, no special skills or equipment, open to every parent, guardian, grandparent, staff member, and neighbor who wants to support Fairmount. Same purpose, a much wider door.

A night like this doesn't happen without people who care. We're forming the Fuel the Firebirds planning committee now — lining up the venue and pulling off the night itself. Whether you can give a few hours or the whole season, there's a spot for you.

No experience necessary. Just enthusiasm and a willingness to have fun with it.
